delpo endorses rolex

April 30, 2011

Looks like Juan Martin del Potro is endorsing Rolex; he’ll join other tennis stars in the watchmaker’s stable (Ana Ivanovic, Justine Henin, Zheng Jie, Li Na, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Roger Federer) by wearing the Datejust watch during press conference and off-court.

Estoril: The Argentinian beat Pablo Cuevas 6-2, 7-6 (6) to reach the final and will face Fernando Verdasco, who made it through after Milos Raonic retired from the semi due to an injured back. (Draws: Estoril Open)

fashion focus: where he played second fiddle, so did roger’s clothes

June 9, 2009

No one expected Roger Federer to hoist that French Open trophy last weekend and it’s as if he dressed the part, staying back with a Classic Open Polo in blue and grey while the prince of clay, Rafa Nadal, pranced around in his pink Nike gear.

But a closer look shows us Roger’s actual intentions: bright orange accents in his wristband, under his monogrammed placket, and on that faaaabulous gym bag; a white/red warm-up; his sleek Rolex — as if he knew that there’d be a photo opp involving a certain trophy he had yet to see on his mantle… until now.

This guy is sneaky!

Buy: Nike Summer Classic Open Polo, Sterling Blue/Classic Charcoal, $65.

More: A closer look at the outfit — belt, shoes, fur, bag, tuxedo stripe down his shorts — all after the cut…

i am being BLINDED

March 15, 2009

Roger Federer‘s watch is darned shiny. Way shinier than the unpolished game he and partner Yves Allegro brought to their first round BNP Paribas Open doubles match against the Bryans. I hope this wasn’t R-Fed’s way to stymie his current funk, because…

Scoreline: Bryan/Bryan def. Allegro/Federer 6-2, 6-0. Match time: 42 minutes.

Buy: Federer sports watches from Rolex‘s Oyster Perpetual line — the Yacht-Master II and the Milgauss. Check them out at rolex.com.

ivanovic poses for rolex

February 12, 2009

We’re all about Darren Rovell‘s obsession with Ana Ivanovic. He just posted a Rolex ad that ran in the program for last week’s Fed Cup tie between Serbia and Japan. (Marija — were there other juicy bits in there?)

Lest you think that TSF is just about the ladies (there’ve been an awful lot of pics of them in the last few days!), I would like you to ease your worries.
