The post-Davis Cup coverage of the U.S. team has been generally favorable. The Blakes got their due, Bob Bryan got his two cents in, and now we know that the NetHeads have nothing to do with the internet (or your school’s cafeteria, for that matter).
But I should point out this article from The Huffington Post that left a bitter taste in my mouth. After the tie, the Spaniards hung out with tennis fans at the Marriott where both teams were staying, but the U.S. players were nowhere to be found. Tsk, tsk. The “wham, bam, thank you, ma’am” approach is no way to treat your fans.
