tattoo watch: tatiana golovin

July 1, 2007

It wasn’t written in the stars for Tatiana Golovin at this year’s Wimbledon. Instead, the star is inked on her hand. Tattoo Watch continues with this photo of the Frenchwoman during her loss to Austrian upstart (and 16-year-old) Tamira Paszek in the second round.

And I don’t show it, but fear not: Tatiana’s wearing her red Lacoste knickers in that photo.

A closer look at the tattoo here.

reebok is like my mother

To minimize confusion in the locker room — lest Jelena Jankovic accidentally put on Shahar Peer‘s gear at some point during the fortnight — Reebok personalized the shoes of both players.

Btw, Reebok: country flags on shoes have already been done, and looked better executed on Roger‘s shoes, don’t you think?

le sigh: tommy’s out

Man, Tommy Haas just can’t get a break. His shoulder acted up earlier this year, forcing him to miss the grasscourt warmups. Now he gets to the fourth round at Wimbledon and pulls out of his match against Roger Federer because of a torn stomach muscle. Ouch.

It could have been a good, too — even though Haas has a losing record to Federer (2-8 lifetime), Tommy has the game to beat Roger, and took him to 5 sets in the 4th round of the 2006 Australian Open.

Serena Williams accessorizes her Nike Power outfit with a bandana and some silver hoop earrings (in concentric squares).

She followed it up with circles in her match against Sequera.
