HEY. sharapova will win french open now justine’s gone. ( i support sharapova thats why hahas.) jelena almost got beaten by her opponent today. It was really close. Well, sharapova has been quite consistent throughout this year. Until her injury. If she recovers like NOW, she will obviously be the biggest opponent to anyone out there. jelena is good too. well we must all see. hope you are right in the finals prediction but not the outcome! HAHA. joking. :DD

The entire cohort of Russian women, almost all of whom play excellent clay court tennis, being stuffed into the top half certainly makes Sharapova’s life more difficult. Honestly, I don’t think she’ll get past the fourth round, injury or otherwise. And with Justine gone, the real beneficiary has to be Svetlana Kuznetsova, who seems capable of playing top level tennis, especially at the French, against anyone else.

kuzie’s been slumping hardcore as far as i’m concerned. she didn’t get out of the R16 in Berlin or Rome losing to Alona Bondarenko & Alize Cornet (two of her weakest losses on the year).
as far as the russians go i’d place her at 5th to win the title – behind Sharapova, Zvonareva, Dementieva, and Safina – and give her only a slightly better chance than Chakvetadze.

oh man guess i was wrong about sharapova’s win but well, she still has a great year. Safina is playing good tennis too this clay season but surprisingly she didnt play as well against dementieva. NEW WINNER anyways this french open. 🙂 i think it will be ivanovic. she is goooodd.
