Post your thoughts in the comment section. If you don’t know what we mean, read up, folks. It’s not the most uplifting of stories, but intriguing nonetheless.

agassi/sampras: the awkwardness continues

March 14, 2010

Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras continued their awkward war of words at the Hit for Haiti charity event at Indian Wells on Friday. has a transcript version of what went down between the two in an exchange that clearly upset Sampras and saw him (playfully?) bomb a serve at Agassi.

It makes us wonder, though: what is Agassi’s deal? Sampras was playing the exhibition fun role just fine, taking a page out of Novak Djokovic‘s book by imitating Agassi’s pigeon-toed walk. It was Andre, whose book has seen wild success but was outwardly critical of several players, none as much as Sampras, who began the verbal jabs with “I don’t have any money,” referring to Sampras’s supposed poor tipping mentioned in his book.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer stood by helplessly and rather uncomfortably, Rafa saying nothing and just smiling through the whole thing while Federer tried to joke about it – which only seemed to make matters worse.

shirtless: unidentified tennis object

March 13, 2010

While we prefer our guys nameless, it’s in everyone’s best interest to know more about this fella. Can anyone help with the ID? We found him hitting with Viktor Troicki before Troicki’s doubles match (with Janko Tipsarevic) against Kas/Norman at the 2010 BNP Paribas Open. (The Serbians won 10-8 in the third set; men’s doubles draw here.)

Need more information? Click for a few more pics of Troicki’s hitting partner — after the cut…

international barbie day (a little late)

March 10, 2010

We’re a day late in wishing everyone a Happy Barbie Day, but that won’t stop us from posting a picture of our dear Kimmie (and Jada, too!). And while Barbie dolls have always been criticized for being too big-chested, we’re not sure if Kim’s legs are big enough. The girl has massive, run-down-everything legs. At least Jada’s hair is accurate…

Congrats to our lady Sandy for her big win at the Oscars tonight. And even if you didn’t think she deserved it, that speech was magnificent. No really, watch this speech.

sunday survey: do you agree with andy?

March 7, 2010

As the US fights with Serbia (it’s currently 2-1 Serbia and Djokovic and Isner are at a set all), we’re wondering about Andy Roddick’s decision to sit out Davis Cup this year and focus on his own career. In the past, Roddick stated it was one of his top priorities to play for the red, white and blue, but now that the American is almost seven years without a Major and approaching the later part of his career, injuries are more likely and he seems to have one thing in mind: not finish his career as a one-slam wonder.

What do you think of Roddick’s decision? Tell us in the comments section.
