flashback: the tsf ‘zine

Spring cleaning at TSF West unearthed this, our first (and only!) attempt at a print version of Tennis Served Fresh. Oh, what a time capsule from four years ago: Marat was still an active player, Etienne de Villiers tested the round-robin format on the ATP; Venus‘ fashion sense had not yet gone on a rampage…

Looks like you left out some of the best parts in your precis!

Battle of the Surfaces, Rafa and Carlos in matching cyan (and playing Fed/Wawa in Rome šŸ™‚ ), Marat’s NYT profile, Feli Lopez as “best-dressed”? LOL!

I think I’m going to need hard copies of these right away. Where can I order them?

(Back to the present – nice banner of Rafa. Very very nice. šŸ™‚ )

  2. Erwin Says:

M: There was night tennis, too. Remember that?!

  3. M Says:

Erwin, I always go to Roger & Rafa’s night matches at the US Open.

So I’m not quite sure what you mean; I must not be getting the joke.

(Nonetheless, would still love to get my little hands on those “vintage” hardcopies. What do I have to do? Where do I apply? LOL! šŸ™‚ )

  4. Erwin Says:

err Night Tennis as in tennis done in the dark (with blacklight and glowsticks!):

The scans I posted were made from the uncut proof sheet. No more original bound (stapled?) ones exist. If you really want one I could put one together and send it to you!
