caro does the charleston

by

Almost reminiscent of Maria Sharapova’s blue/orange Nike dress from Miami four years ago, top seed Caro Wozniacki debuted another combo from her adidas by Stella McCartney trunk of wonders. For the Family Circle Cup, being contested this week in Charleston, S.C., she paired an “infrared” (orange) sleeveless tank with a pleated skirt. Note the same orange tone on her shoes. (The Stella line shoe is Eileithyia, but Caro’s wearing Barricades, yes?) Ruching on the tank aside, we’re not really all that impressed with this combo. Can’t wait to see which dresses will end up at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. (What do you think of Caro’s Charleston outfit? Love it? Hate it? Don’t care? Tell us!)

Draw: Wozniacki made quick work of American Irina Falconi, beating her 6-1, 6-1. (Draw: Family Circle Cup)

Buy: adidas by Stella McCartney Tennis Skirt (img), white or blueprint, $85; Perf Tank, $75; adilibria Barricade shoes customizable at miadidas.com.

I like it a lot better than what she has been wearing. Showing the curve of her waist to hips is more sporty than the free flowing dress line or the elastic gathered waist of a top and pleated skirt. This pleated skirt is flatter at her hip because of the tight top. So she’s showing some skin and muscles in the arms and shoulders, balanced by skin and muscle curve on the legs, set off in between with a blaze of color and the curve of her waist and hips. I can live with it.

I like this outfit better than the OZ one! I does show her curves more. That white dress made her look Grandmotherly.

By the way thanks for pointing me over to that Tennis Panorama site. I was checking out all the photos of the dress in one of the Charleston posts. Also saw photos of the the Miami players party too!
