glamming up the gals

April 2, 2011

Fashionable fella: The WTA recently announced a global partnership with Oriflame, a Sweden-based cosmetics company. For the Player Party in Miami, Oriflame sent its Global Beauty Artistic Director, Jonas Wramell, to glam up Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka. Wramell discussed the looks each of the ladies like – color for Caro and “classy” black for Vika – and put his team to work. Can we just say we were digging hairstylist James Stafford below? When does TSF get the Oriflame treatment?

Wramell knows how to doll up the best of ’em. The world-famous make-up artist joined Oriflame in the fall of 2009 after a dozen years of doing make up for the stars. WATCH below.

in doha, serena has lipstick

October 26, 2009

Don’t worry folks, Serena definitely bought a lipstick pack on the ground at Doha, you know she has to re-apply that stuff every few minutes! The world’s “second best player” fielded questions from the media prior to the tournament’s Tuesday start.

Check out the girls all glammed up here. UPDATE: Watch (awkward) video here.

serena vs. venus: ugly match, cute clothes

March 8, 2008

It’s a given that a match between the Williams sisters won’t produce great tennis. Lots of psychological sibling factors come into play (blood is thicker, after all), leading to awkward error-filled games.

Thankfully, they can keep me entertained with their clothes.

Serena wears the Nike Bloom Tunic from the Nike Cruise collection. She throws in some New Blue with her bandana and shorts.

And no tennis outfit of hers would be complete without some bling. In this case, she opts out of big earrings (even though “big earrings elevate any outfit,” she tells Marie Claire) and instead goes with a gold tote.

Snoop around: Marie Claire also got some insight into Serena’s make-up bag (from Henri Bendel, no less). Her make-up for matches, though, is another story: that bag is “a whole separate trunk, filled only with things that are melt-proof.”
