the hewitts: a family that dresses together…

by

Until they’re upstaged by the Federers, we’re expecting the Hewitts to rule the roost as the best dressed family of tennis.

Like father…: On Cruz, a black/green version of his dad’s limited-edition Yonex tee, available on the Hewitt site for AU$20 a pop.

Bec wears a salmon tank (with a zipper graphic) to Lleyton’s second-round match.

And for a family tennis session, she wears a boyfriend tank by Lauren Moshi. (You can pick one up here for $110.) And props to daugther Mia for rockin’ that badass cast.

Maybe it’s the faux hawk, maybe we’re feeling bad about his impending retirement (or about his having to face Roger Federer in the fourth round), or maybe it’s the red. Whatever it is, we are all thumbs up for Hewitt’s look at this year’s Australian Open. Good job, Yonex.

Buy: Yonex Aussie Open Crew, in white/navy/yellow/red, $49.95; and Shorts, black/grey/navy, $46.95; both from Midwest Sports.

Bracketology: Hewitt might be well rested after an easy win (at the expense of Marcos Baghdatis‘ shoulder), but the Aussie will need every trick in his bag if he wants to beat Roger. The odds are against him, of course; Hewitt has lost 13 consecutive matches to Federer (out of 23 played), including seven losses at the majors.
