flashback: wilson’s simple, solid dress for the open

by

As we mentioned while roaming the grounds of the 2010 US Open, the normally blah Wilson surprised us with a solid black and pink dress (with a wrap skirt) to put on Anne Keothavong and Mandy Minella. Note the ruching on the bust and the pleats on the back of the skirt.

Minella, who came through from qualifying, made it all the way to the third round before falling to Venus Williams. The lady from Luxembourg paired her dress with some purple hot pants (and pearl studs). Meanwhile, Keothavong lost her first round match against Taiwan’s Yung-Jan Chan.

This whole line created for the 2010 US Open is actually good all-around. Even the branding’s novel, with very NY-centric names like the “#7 Train tank” and the “7th Ave. top” for these black and pink (“berry”) pieces. Lots of gathering and ruching detail. Check out the links below.

Buy: Wilson Tea Lawn Tennis Dress, black/berry, $52.99; Fall 7th Ave. 3/4 Pant, $39.99; Garden V-Neck Top, $36.99; 7th Ave. Long-Sleeve Top, $39.99; #7 Train Tank, $36.99; all at TW.
