Bjorn Phau made it all the way to the semifinals of last week’s China Open before falling to Andy Roddick 2-6, 6-7 (4), 1-6. This is the same guy who gave Rafa Nadal some trouble in the first round of the 2008 U.S. Open, pushing Rafa to two tiebreaks with his stinging one-handed backhand.
